Aristotle Fioravanti - an Italian architect and engineer. Originally from the Italian city of Bologna, from a family of hereditary architects, mention of which are found in chronicles of the city since the mid XIV century. Aristotle's father, Rudolf Fioravanti, attributed such great works as the restructuring of Palazzo Kommunale (Palace of the community) after the fire and the strengthening of the tower over the palace Aringo del Podesta (Municipality of Bologna).
Sam Aristotle Fioravanti was first mentioned in chronicles in Bologna in 1436, when he and Gaspard Nadi caster to cast the bell tower of the city Aringo and raised him there. The next bell was cast in 1453, the same master, and raised up using a special lifting device, developed by Fioravanti, who was not only an architect but also an engineer.
